Jen Blankenship is a dedicated Registered Nurse with over two decades of comprehensive experience across diverse healthcare settings, including homecare, hospital, and long-term care environments. Currently serving as an Assessment RN at Vital Homecare, Jen has a strong track record in providing exceptional patient care through meticulous assessments, treatment planning, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. Raised in the picturesque landscapes of Western North Carolina, Jen’s journey into nursing began with an Associate Degree in Nursing from the Foothills Nursing Consortium at McDowell Tech Community College. Her career has been characterized by her commitment to evidence-based practice and continuous professional development. Over the past ten years, she has honed her skills in home health care, managing complex patient needs, and ensuring high standards of care through effective use of electronic health records and adherence to best practices.  Jen’s previous roles have included significant positions such as Home Health RN/Case Manager and Admissions/Intake Coordinator at Carepartners, Unit Manager/RN Supervisor at Asheville Healthcare Center, and RN specializing in Labor and Delivery with American Mobile Healthcare. She has also served as an MDS Coordinator and a Labor and Delivery/Mother/Baby RN, further diversifying her expertise in various nursing disciplines.  Outside of her professional life, Jen is a devoted wife and mother to a young son. She enjoys exploring the world through travel, savoring fine wine, and immersing herself in a good book. A cherished member of her family is her beloved dog, who brings joy and companionship to her life. Jen’s approach to nursing is driven by a passion for improving patient outcomes and a genuine care for those she serves. Her blend of clinical expertise, leadership skills, and personal interests make her a well-rounded and impactful healthcare professional.
